New flood wave expected on Danube, Raba Rivers
Budapest - A new wave of flooding is expected on the Hungarian section of the River Danube and the Raba, on the back of a massive rise in water levels anticipated in areas above Vienna, water management officials told MTI on Monday.

The highest non-emergency flood alert is being maintained on the Danube in some areas, particularly in the west of the country, due to the expectation of a new wave of rising levels.
The River Raba is also expected to undergo a new wave and a second-degree alert applies along its mid-section.
The flooded embankments of the Danube in central Budapest are expected to stay closed till Friday.
