EU sells Hungarian intervention maize
Budapest- The European Union management panel sold 4,971 tonnes of old-stock Hungarian intervention maize at EUR 131.00 per tonne at its tender on Thursday, Reuters reported, citing official data.

Traders placed bids for 11,814 tonnes of maize at prices ranging from EUR 90.73 to EUR 131.00 per tonne.
The European Union last week opened a tender to resell around 16,000 tonnes of maize, harvested in 2004 and 2005 and still held in intervention stores in Hungary, back onto EU markets.
