Hungary's Foreign Minister Goncz to resign on May 1
Budapest - Hungary's Foreign Minister Kinga Goncz is to resign on May 1 in order to concentrate on her campaign to become a member of the European Parliament, the prime minister said on Saturday.
Heading the minority governing Socialist party's list for the European Parliamentary elections are Goncz, Edit Herczog and Zita Gurmai, said Ferenc Gyurcsany, speaking after a national party board meeting.
Gyurcsany said he would announce a new foreign minister on April 20.
